When a star looks good, chances are high for the make-up artist to be noticed and rewarded with collaborations.
Maybelline New York recently announced the appointment of their newest global make-up artist on their Instagram.
It stated, “It’s official, we are so excited to announce our new global make-up artist, the talented and wonderful Erin Parsons of Erin Parsons Make-Up. She was first introduced to us through Maybelline girl, Gigi Hadid and we’re so happy to welcome her into our glam family!”
Leonardo Chavez, global brand president of Maybelline New York, told GCI magazine, “We are incredibly excited to partner with Erin Parsons. Erin is highly creative, inventive and embodies the Maybelline New York energy and edge in her artistry. Erin is known for her passion for artistic experimentation that results in bold, modern looks that are highly aspirational for our consumers to make their own.”
Parsons, an American make-up artist, recently worked on Maybelline’s SS2017 NYFW Campaign and her work has been seen in editorials for leading publications like Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, WSJ, Interview and W, among others.
According to WWD, Parsons got her start by assisting make-up guru Pat McGrath and now she travels the globe with client Gigi Hadid, working on campaigns for Reebok, Tommy Hilfiger and Maybelline.
“As a child, I remember seeing Maybelline ads in magazines, tearing them out and hanging them on my wall, because they allowed me to dream. Today, in the digital age, not only can we create aspirational artistry but we have the ability to teach it,” Parsons said in a report by GCI.
“I am so excited to officially be a part of the Maybelline family, and together, we will create make-up artistry that will inspire a whole new generation to dream,” she added.
Down the line, Parsons told WWD that she could see her role turning to product development. “That’s the next step,” she said. “It’s always been a little dream of mine to make certain products that don’t exist yet.”
